Filmmaker

About Me.

I am a student filmmaker currently studying my first year at Kingston University. I have made this site to showcase my work as well as all my personal details so that potential job opportunities can easily get in contact with me. I am a committed and heavily driven person who is willing to work at any given position within the film industry at this point of my career. In which I will be 100% available at any given time.

Having gained experience as a production assistant, 2nd AC, and behind-the scenes photographer on 6 productions, I am eager to further my skill set through this opportunity. As a student beginning my filmmaking degree at Kingston University, I am committed to becoming a valuable contributor to any film crew, regardless of my role. My proactive attitude on set has resulted in ongoing work on short films for the Tats ‘N’ Talent theatre company, Kinkladze Films, and additional projects given to me by individual crew members for later in the year.

Regarding my academic journey, before my acceptance at Kingston University, I completed an extended diploma in film and television production at Colchester Institute, where I achieved the highest grade, a distinction. During my studies, my film "Kate Marshall" earned nominations for Best Student Film at two local film festivals, and I was honoured to be awarded Best Director, standing out among my class of 70 students.

This experience has provided me with a solid foundation in essential areas such as communication, teamwork, and time management. For instance, alongside projects I have taken on, I also run my own 6-a-side football team, coach my own kickboxing class, and work 3 days a week. These core strengths have equipped me with the tools needed to thrive in a dynamic work environment and to adapt seamlessly to any challenges that may arise on set. Enclosed is my resume, which provides further insight into my skills, experiences, and achievements. I am extremely open to any position that will be available at this current time in my career and would be extremely grateful for any opportunities you can provide for me.

My latest film follows a boy who comes home to care for his mentally deteriorating mother. At the moment, I have submitted this to regional and international film festivals, where I will be finding out the results throughout the course of this year. At the moment, I am lucky enough to have been nominated for the London Global Film Awards and honoured to win the London Awards. Below is a link to the film. I am always looking for criticism and improvements in my work, so I would love to know your thoughts on the film.

Education

Film and Television

UAL Extended Diploma (DISTINCTION)
Colchester Institute

This extended diploma built off of the understanding I gathered within the diploma. This helped to further fine-tune my learning, introducing myself to higher-level equipment as well as more given responsibilities to handle on set. Most significantly within the short films, I opted to direct more than 20 people at times during scenes in which I wanted a lot of extras in the background. In this year I produced 2 documentaries, 1 advertisement, and a short film. With all of the jobs done by myself besides acting. From my continued work I was again awarded with a distinction as well as 4 out of the 10 awards at the end of year award ceremony. This being for Best Director, Best Drama, Most Committed and Best Cinematography out of the 50 people in my class.

UAL Diploma

(DISTINCTION)
Colchester Institute

This diploma did a great job of showing me the key fundamentals and themes of a general production set. This gave myself the opportunity to learn the basics within cinematography, sound, directing, editing, producing needed set paperwork, taking on the given responsibilities needed to run a production, as well as just generally showing myself how the atmosphere of a set feels. In which through my work I was awarded with the highest possible grade in a distinction. In this year I produced 2 documentaries, 2 short films, 1 music video as well as a news report for a local journalist. From this year I received 2 awards at the end of year ceremony, these being for Best Director and Hardest Working.
